AE³Q offers blown-in cellulose insulation for homes and businesses throughout the Mesa, Arizona region. Cellulose insulation is made from recycled materials, and is an ideal insulation material for both new construction and retrofit installations.
Cellulose Insulation is Sustainable.
Cellulose insulation is made from recycled newspaper treated with borate for fire-resistance. Made from recycled materials, it is a sustainable insulation solution that has low embodied energy and environmental impact compared to other insulation materials.
Cellulose Insulation is Effective.
Unlike batt or blanket insulation, the loose particles that comprise cellulose insulation are able to move around electrical wires and other materials to provide an even application with minimal air gaps. This ensures that it performs to its rated R-value and provides a thorough, consistent layer of insulation in attics and walls.
Cellulose is also a great material for retrofit scenarios, as it can be installed with a minimum of intrustion in the building. In attics, we simply remove old batt insulation (which is typically covered in a brown layer around the bottom where air has been leaking around it, carrying dust and dirt particles which get stuck in the insulation), air seal any holes in the air barrier, and install cellulose. In walls, we drill small holes in the exterior of the building and install cellulose from the outside, taking care to repair the holes so that they are undetectable afterwards. In both cases, the installation is simple, clean, and quick.
